Come fish with us on our Private River Access in Big Horn Sheep Canyon! Four Rivers has access to 1/4 mile of Gold Medal water on the Arkansas River. The property is a 20-minute drive from Salida CO. It is located right off highway 50, with easy access to the river.

The stretch of water has all kinds of “holes” including a nice flat run, riffles, as well as two bridges going over the water to offer trout a safe haven from predators. Brown Trout are the target of this trip, while there are Rainbow trout in the river, the average is 75% brown and 25% rainbow. The Arkansas Headwater is famous for its “Mother’s Day” Caddis Hatch. In late February the river turns on for the year, providing some of the best spring fishing Colorado has to offer.

The property also has primitive riverside campsites that are also available, which can be added to the price of the trip.

Fishermen can also lease out the river without a guide for a daily rod fee. Email Mike@fourriversoutfitters.com for info.

Trips will be customized to what the angler needs. From beginners to advanced anglers, we have something for you.

We have a small pond that we do casting class on. Guides will cover everything, how to rig a fly rod, knots, how to read water, where to target trout, bug identification, and fly selection, multiple ways to cast, fighting a fish once it’s hooked, and proper handling of trout.

This trip offers instruction on Nymphing, Streamer Fishing, or Dry Fly Fishing Catch and Release Only
